#1 Fluffy pillow CASES

Of course, as with anything in decor or fashion, taste and opinions are subjective. So who’s to say what cozy even looks like?
But the important part is what cozy feels like, for you! when I think of cozy, I think of something fluffy and warm and cuddly and just anything that makes me feel like there’s a fireplace somewhere around the corner.
So naturally the first thing would be fluffy pillow cases. Whether on your bed or your couch, they give a warm accent to the room, because don’t we all associate fluffiness with something soft? Probably? It reminds me of animals, like maybe a hairy dog or a sheep.
#2 soft Blankets

This one is soo essential in my opinion. Cozy feels like warmth, warmth is like when you get a hug. That warm fuzzy feeling (no pun intended) makes you feel like your hearts been replenished. Like if your heart spent the night alone in a forest and you brought it inside for some hot tea and warm food.
Thats why a soft blanket is going to make that feeling come alive all the time, all over your body. If thats something that gives you comfort, it’s definitely essential. Pay attention to those small moments to help you know what brings you comfort.
#3 Fluffy Rugs

Okay listen up people without carpeted floors, this one’s for y’all. If you don’t have carpet flooring, it’s gonna be so hard to feel cozy in a room where walking barefoot would make your feet cold. Like I’m not gonna feel cozy knowing that my feet are about to cause a cold shock up my spine when my feet were just warming up under the blanket. I’m not always gonna have socks on.
You could easily avoid being interrupted by the cold flooring if you get a fluffy rug. Not just a soft rug but we need it to be fluffy, an ‘I can’t see my toes’ kind of fluffy rug. Or like, my toes went dora the explorer on me kind of fluffy rug. haha.
I want to point out that this is gonna be a huge theme for this article, because fluffy or soft accents are going to be your best friend or your lover or any person you insanely love. It’s whats going to help you feel consistent with that cozy feeling. Like reaching flow state but with the cozy ambience of your space. Matching items together are huge for this effect.
#4 fake and soft scented candles

The reason i’ve suggested soft scented candles is an individual thing, but personally I think it’s going to make things in your space feel more cozy.
Depending on how long you’re going to hangout in the room, it’s going to make a huge difference on what you choose to do for you candle type. If you’re just hanging out for a bit, do whatever candle you want, maybe something strong or a certain smell that you just need to have around you.
But if you’re gonna be there for longer periods, strong scents might not be something that feels good to you. Especially if you’re someone who is sensitive to scents or perfumes, it might make your vibe go from cozy to not cozy.
That’s why there’s also fake candles that could definitely be the best alternative for you if you don’t wanna worry about choosing scents and how long it’s been lit for. You can just let your imagination believe it’s real. It can still feel just as warm and fuzzy inside.
#5 Fuzzy stools

Fluffy stools might be more fitting for you if you feel like you’re gonna use it to sit but, I also don’t feel like you need to use it to sit either. It can act as decoration! If you really want to add that fluffy accented theme we’ve been discussing so far, sometimes its totally worth to buy items as just decoration, as long as it’s helping you get that ambience you want.
Especially if its fluffy… because now there’s so much fluffiness going on that its gonna be hard for some random judgy person to point out ‘why aren’t you using that stool’ cause its blending in too much and it looks good. I mean even if they did.. so what! It gives cozy vibes and it makes you happy!
#6 tEDDY BEARS

I know we aren’t kids but.. isn’t the little us version somewhere inside all of us? Maybe thats the kind of impression teddy bears will give you, but honestly I really don’t think it’s childish. If you feel like it’s not the vibe for you, there are so many alternatives to decorations like teddy bears.
BUT I do really think having a teddy bear as decoration can bring in that cozy and warm feeling, maybe a sense of safety and comfort. Those two things definitely have some effect on how cozy you will feel. I think that’s the huge theme for these ideas, is that the sense of safety and comfort you get from the fluff, or warm colours and soft feelings is what’s helping you choose what you want. So maybe think about it a bit if it helps?
#7 Long thick curtains

Why long thick curtains? Why not just the thin ones or like any sized curtain, does it make a difference? Yes, I personally think so and you might think so too when I explain.
Basically, I don’t think it’s going to be the item that will change a lot on its own. Butttt don’t you think more fabric will add to the ambience? The more material, the more it’ll signal your brain that warmth can be found in every corner of the room.
Since an open window could perhaps invite a cold atmosphere into the room, the curtain is a reminder that you decide the vibe of the room. The cold is our enemy. The cold is banned from the sacred space that we’re trying so hard to create.
In conclusion, terminate the enemy lols!
#8 fuzzy Slippers

Okay. I honestly don’t wanna even write anything for this because what can I even say. Fuzzy slippers will literally save your soul from the enemies of the cold. Like stop reading right now. Why don’t you own this if you want cozy ideas??? I’m kidding. But I’m not. A fluffy rug isn’t enough for your toes. Your toes need 24/7 assistance for staying cozy and slay.
This is the opposite of a hear me out. Okay thats all I have to say.
#9 Warm Fairy lights

I think this is my favourite idea to talk about honestly. This is already getting me excited. I really think warm fairy lights add something magical to the room, and that creates some kind of positive effect in the room.
The ambience feels like it goes from comfortable to comforting. Like little fairies are hanging out in your space now because you’ve created a magical version of cozy. like not just cozy comfy but cozy with a spark in the most soothing way.
And the reason i’ve suggested warm I think might self-explanatory? A warm accent is going to make a huge difference in the space in comparison to white lights. White lights might not be the kind of energy you want in the room especially if you associate the warm coloured lights with a more soothing and relaxing mood. So definitely think about how much that difference affects your comfort. Everyone has their own kinds of fairies! That sounds a bit weird but hey you get it.
#10 Pampas grass

Pampas grass has definitely caught me off-guard on how much it could actually add to your space when it comes to coziness and comfort. It’s not exactly an idea that comes up right away in my mind, but I think it could definitely add some kind of fluff to the room. Yes. The word is back.
But I really think this is one of the only plants that make you feel like you’re growing feathers in your home. And not only is the texture of pampas grass perfect, it also has such a perfect colour for the cozy ambience your’e looking to create.
This might have been a bit inaccurate for some of you, especially since colour is going to be an individual preference. For me personally, beige does it beautifully. It brings the right kind of colour in the space, but it might not for you and thats cool.
Also think about how you want the vase to be, because I really think a ceramic vase is going to bring you the grounding feeling you’re looking for versus glass vases.
#11 Fuzzy bean bag

Yes, it has to be fuzzy. A fuzzy bean bag is gonna give you way more comfort than material without fuzz. We wanna pretend that we’re sitting on a big pillow. Right or wrong?
It’s always about the details. The smallest things add up to create that cozy ambience that you’re trying to achieve. And hey, if focusing on the details isn’t something up your alley, that’s cool too. Regardless, I think being aware of it helps you in whatever you decide to do for your space.
#12 warm simple lamps

I think simple lamps are the way to go for a cozy atmosphere. The busier and more cluttered your space is, the harder it’s going to be to relax and chill. And that applies to how designed and decorated the furniture is.
Having something like a simple lamp lets your eyes settle in the room, because the lights are warm and cuddly and the isn’t too eye catching to distract you from a calm vibe. Simple lamp, simple mind.
#13 fake grass plants

This idea is definitely similar to the idea of the pampas grass idea. The reason I made this a separate idea on its own is because pampas grass has a certain look to it that adds a bit of personality to the room. It gives me slight luxury vibes.
Fake grass plants are kinda like a mini version, like you just wanna have some sort of plant looking item in the room but still have it match the rest of the space.
#14 warm LED lights

LED lights might be a bit overrated but honestly it’s iconic and it works. LED lights will be your best friend if you love trying out different lighting. My suggestion would be of course the well used warm lighting, but any colour that brings you the sense of cozy that you’re looking for is best.
Like I said, SUPER popular. But there’s a reason, and I think it’s really worth it for your space. Sometimes lamps and lights have their limits. It’s like the party version of all the lamps and stuff out there. Except of course, we want the opposite of a party. We want a cozy party! But no party.
#15 Fake green pLANTS

Honestly, fake green plants can go into any kind of aesthetic but for the coziness you’re achieving, It adds a bit of warmth to the room.
Also- you gotta make sure to choose the right pot as well for your plant. is it going to match the rest of the room? Because a bright white pot might not go best with the ambience if you’re tryna keep the vibe lowkey.
